I also detest Apple, as they're a craptastic company. My roommate is in this dilemma and has considered switching to Windows because of it. When it comes time to upgrading your Mac (~5 or so years), you'll be spending another small fortune to do so. You can build a powerhouse PC for a fraction of the price of a Mac with worse hardware. One thing I would recommend if going PC is to use an AMD GPU (if you use any GPU) as Nvidia GPU's are known to cause more DPC Latency issues. But if you're using third party-plugins (which you will), it wont matter if its Mac or Windows. However, Mac is definitely optimized to use Logic, with the built in Logic plugins. But Windows has options too, and it's not really an issue if you're using an audio interface.
BEST COMPUTERS FOR HOME RECORDING STUDIO DRIVER
Mac's just have better out-of-the-box AISO driver support. Is it true that DAWs are optimized better to run on Macs? As far as I'm aware, Waves plugins are not officially compatible with them, and likely other brands. M1 chips are brand new and not guaranteed to be compatible with all plugins.
Do you guys recommend Macbook Pro with Intel, or M1?
